This is a picture of my Mom, (kneeling down) and left to right is Aunt Kate, Rose Rae and her sister, Nancy Bontempo.
What makes this pic so interesting, study Kate and Liz's faces and you see an exact replica of Janet and Angela. It's like they were clones of their mothers.
Nancy is the person mentioned in the shoe factory fire on the Stoopview Blog. Nancy and Rose were my mothers cousins in-law's. Rose was married to Bill Rae (Hoagie) as my father called him. Bill was from Scotland and some where along the line he was my mother and Kate's cousin. Due to the age of these pictures I must assume that Rose and Nancy were friends of the Prudente's and they introduced them to Bill Rae....if this is all confusing to you, don't feel bad..a little scotch can do that to you. I will guess-timate and say that my Mom was about 10 in this picture, making Aunt Kate about 12.....I am sure the reason they took the picture with my Mom kneeling down was to cover the fact that Nancy has a leg deformity and wore a metal brace that looked like a Peg Leg...Years later she had the leg removed and wore a prosthesis. So now you have a few more pieces of the puzzle...

Great Picture. They do resemble Ayn and Aunt Janet. It looks like Pleated Skirts were popular at that time from this picture. You have to find a picture of Hoagie, I want to see if you resemble him.
