Happy 103rd Uncle Mike. I do recall so many parties we used to have in the old Floral Park Basement, and the most memorable one were St Paddy's Day parties. I remember very clearly one year, Aunt Janet teaching us kids to sing - H-A-Double R- I- G- A- N spells Harrigan.

Uncle Mike always had on a proper Derby and would never eat the traditional Italian food we always had. Nana always prepared a meat dish and potatoe with veggies for Uncle Mike... Simpler times, but very long lasting memories, as you can tell from this snippet.

I think you forgot to invite Rose and Bill Rae, otherwise known as Hogie..

Thankfully for us, most of our family lived long lives and we got to spend many many years with them to collect these memories.

My favorite memory of Grandpa would be after Sunday dinners at the apartment in Floral Park, he would take me to his local bar and sit me up on the bar with his friends and the bartendar would make me all the Shirley Temples I wanted. While everyone stayed back at the apartment with Grandma.

Those are some of my earliest and most cherished memories!

And, with Kasey ... he LOVED Kasey and she loved him right back. When he turned 90, we went to his house to celebrate and she sat herself in his lap as she always did and she would play with his white hair and she asked him "Grandpa, you're so old are you going to die soon". Grandma laughed!! Then she jumped off his lap and asked him to chase her...he used to run after her to the best of his ability... even with his cane!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!
