"Just the Facts M'am"

I would like to share this email I received from Angela and Brians daughter, Monica...I know we are all very proud of my Mo...

In case you have not heard I start my new job on 4/28 at ECU as a Social Research Specialist for Institutional Research in the department of Institutional Planning, Research, and Effectiveness. My main project will be the "Fact Book" which is a university's version of the U.S. Census. In a nut shell, it's every little detail about every student, faculty/staff member, department, program, etc. broken down, disaggregated, and organized all sorts of ways. And if all of you click on this link and look at the fact book, you may be one of 100 people nation-wide who have actually looked at this thing :)
I'm excited, I'll be working with four other data geeks who also like to look at Census data for fun (all anthropology and sociology degrees), so it'll be like working with former classmates...as opposed to where I am now, working with reading teachers who can't read directions. I'll also be working with Chris's cousin Margot, who is the most normal person I know down here (she's from NY of course) and likes to bury dead animals in her yard and dig them up months later (archeology major), so we always like to get together and look at bones. I'll finally be working with people I have something in common with :)
I'll let you know more next week.
Take care, Monica

Monica,

I of course am proud of you, and wish you all the luck on your new job. Regarding the digging up of animal bones and examining them, imagine all the fun you and Margot could have had in Pop-Pop's backyard before they knocked the house down? You had Catfish, Birds with broken necks and many Gaputzelle heads, a real treasure trove.

Love ya - Cuz
Best to Chris and Sasha

Monica,
How wonderful to wake up in the morning and look forward to going to work. It should be that way for everyone. May many days of laughter and challenge be yours.
Your Proud Mom

Want to hear a funny TRUE Story... Merrill Lynch is having some financial problems, like the rest of the country, and yesterday they announced a voluntary retirement program. Normally, I would not even pay attention to this stuff, but I looked at it.. and SADLY, I qualify for it if I choose.. I of course would not take it and am in no danger of losing my job, but its scary as hell to know you qualify for something like that... If I was 5 years older, that would be a different story.

Tempus Fugit.

Love Ron
