Happy St Patricks Day to the IRISH side of our Family...and as my Italian Grandmother always said....The Italians drink to be Happy and the Irish drink to get drunk...and yes, she did say that....so if any of my counter parts are sober enough to read this...."HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY".....

Don't miss the corned beef (am still looking for "corned tofu" but sure do miss the St. Paddy Day parties.
And some of us remember marching in the NY Parade in our catholic school uniform.

I REMEMBER GOING TO SEE MELL & TOMMY MARCH IN THE PARADE........
REMEMBER BEING OVER AUNT FANNY'S TO WALK FRAN & MARTHA TO SCHOOL AND AUNT FANNY MADE BOW'S OUT OF GREEN CRAY PAPER IN PUT THEM IN MY HAIR THOUGHT THAT WAS THE GREATEST THING.......REMEMBER MOM AND AUNT LIZZIE GOING TO THE "BEER RACKET"
AS THEY USED TO CALL IT.......

Poor Janet did TOO much remembering...she forgot her name...It is not Wanacook it is Nevacook...She told Mell she wanted to go somewhere she had never been for St Patricks Day...so he took her into the Kitchen....
